Its predecessors were the South African Heavy Artillery Brigade, The Regiment Of South African Artillery, and No.3 (Transvaal) Battery, South African Heavy Artillery. A scarce South African WW1 unit history. Appendices gives dates and locations of positions occupied, decorations awarded, appointments, casualties, roll of honour.
