Despite the lesser dustwrapper this has a good table appearance. Inscribed by Walter Battiss to Jan Mostert with his usual graphic in ink. Battiss was Professor of Art at UNISA at the time of publication. From his camp on the Limpopo River he conceived this book looking South to the Karoo of his birth and youth, and North to the islands of Zanzibar, Lamu, Manda and Pate which he had visited as an adult.
