Neat ownership inscription ffep. spine fading and some marks on rear board from missing damped dustwrapper. 4 square corners. overall VG but no dustwrapper. Copy No.350 of 400. Selected letters from 1878 to 1941 give a personal view of the times imcluding his experiences in the Boer War. Family tree given. He was variously in Grahamstown, Pretoria, Cape Town, Somerset East, & elsewhere. James Troup was medical advisor to J.C. Smuts.
