Description: Copenhagen, Publishing House Future, 1972. 2nd printing. orig.wrappers. 22x14cm, 57 pp.. ISBN: 8770130272. Minor rubbing. VG. ¶ Selections from the works of Marx & Engels. Issued by the press of Gotfred Appel's "Communist Working Circle". Appel - the most controversial figure of the Danish left of his day - formed Europe's first Maoist party, Kommunistisk Arbejdskreds (KAK), in 1963 , and was at the forefront of 1960's anti-Vietnam-war militancy in Copenhagen. His party was the first western European leftwing group to form ties with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), and an clandestine section of Appel's group materially aided the PFLP by engaging in spectacular robberies of military depots and banks throughout the 1970s-80s (the Blekingegade Gang).Appel's unique theoretical position within the Danish left of his day - the "Snylterstatsteorien" - held that Western European working classes were bribed collaborators of states parasiting upon the profits extracted from exploiting the third world.
