Title: One of 25 numbered copies with an original Woodburytype by the author: A HISTORY OF THE WOODBURYTYPE, The First Successful Photomechanical Printing Process, and Walter Bently Woodbury
Description: Nevada City California. Carl Mautz Publishing. 2006, 1st Edition. Hardcover with dust jacket. Number 22 of 25 copies of a special edition with an original Woodburytype print by the author as a frontispiece. The author/photographer has numbered the book in the provided space in red ink and drawn his monogram small in the corner of the limitation page. Not required by the format, he has signed his name in full on the front free endpaper. There was already a relatively low limitation of 800 copies of the first (only) edition. A fine, unread-looking copy in a fine, intact dust jacket. A tiny, slight bit of rubbing on the bottom edge of the boards, consistent with pulling it out of the shelf 3-4 times. It's doubtful if you would ever find a better copy of this important work on this archaic photographic process, well-known in its time. Fine/Fine. Signed by Author(s).
