There were two formats of the first edition, a large paper at 9" x 5.5" with twice the illustrations and a standard edition at 6.5" x 5". This is the standard paper edition. Hardback with dustjacket. ¶ An account of Morton's first foreign tour, in which he travelled through Palestine, Jordan & Syria. Henry Vollam Morton [ 1892 - 1979 ] journalist and pioneering travel writer. He first achieved fame in 1923 when he covered the opening of the tomb of Tutankhamun by Howard Carter.
