Title: In The Steps Of The Master
Description: Rich & Cowan, 1934, 1st edition. Cloth, dj, VG/P. [xii]+388pp, endpaper maps, b/w frontis, 8 double & 15 single page b/w plates, index, cloth a little rubbed, occasional foxing, the book has two dustjackets ( one presumably supplied from another copy ), neither is in particularly good condition, the one visible has a large tear to the upper panel, the other has a section of the spine missing. There were two formats of the first edition, a large paper at 9" x 5.5" with twice the illustrations and a standard edition at 6.5" x 5". This is the standard paper edition. Hardback with dustjacket. ¶ An account of Morton's first foreign tour, in which he travelled through Palestine, Jordan & Syria. Henry Vollam Morton [ 1892 - 1979 ] journalist and pioneering travel writer. He first achieved fame in 1923 when he covered the opening of the tomb of Tutankhamun by Howard Carter.
