Hardback , no dustjacket. ¶ The travels of Colonel The Honourable Aubrey Nigel Henry Molyneux Herbert [ 1880 - 1923 ], of Pixton Park in Somerset, British soldier, diplomat and traveller who was associated with Albanian independence. The book, published after Herbert's death covers his travels in Yemen, Turkey, Persia, Mesopotamia and Albania. The bookplate is that of Samuel Cunliffe Lister, 1st Baron Masham [ 1815 - 1906 ] who moved to Swinton Park in 1882. An English inventor and industrialist, he must have had more bookplates printed than he could use in his lifetime.
