Contemporary vellum, VG. 348+354+[17]pp, separate title pages for each part ( 2nd title page states a 7th edition ), index, printers woodcut device to titles, the solidly bound in somewhat grubby vellum more so to the spine with an almost illegible lettering piece, occasional light foxing, Ex Monastic Library [ St Augustine's Ramsgate ] with their bookplate to the pastedown, 2 small ink armorial monogram stamps to the title & last page of the index, a nice copy. Hardback , no dustjacket. ¶ Later edition of a collection of verse by the Italian poet Giambattista Felice Zappi [ 1667 - 1719 ], which contains a few lines by his wife. A lawyer by trade his passion was poetry, such that he was in 1690 one of the founding fathers of the Accademia degli Arcadi.
