Fine copies of the Rolls series are uncommon. Latin text. Hardback , no dustjacket. ¶ A detailed & faithfull account of the founding and progress of the Cistercian Meaux Abbey in Yorkshire. Founded in 1151, the Abbey was finally dissolved in 1539. Thomas of Burton was abbot 1396 - 1399. His Chronicle, not a Cartulary, also contains a useful & important account of affairs between England & Scotland during the reign of Edward I.
