Hardback with dustjacket. ¶ A humorous play set in the year 1400 & and concerning a discharged soldier & his unhappiness with the World. It is regarded as Fry's best & most popular work. The play was performed in 1949 at the Globe in London with Gielgud as the male lead & Pamela Brown as the female lead. The book does have an old $ price, so there is also the possibility that the book was signed in New York when the play was running at the Royale Theatre on Broadway.
