Mundari is a Munda language of the Austroasiatic language family spoken by the Munda tribes in eastern Indian states of Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal. It is closely related to Santali. This work first published at the Calcutta Catholic Orphan Press c. 1905-09 by Revd John Baptist Hoffmann (1857-1928), missionary and social worker, who lived amongst the Munda and studied their language and culture.
