Presumed rebound - sympathetically in green cloth, now slightly mottled. Internally very tight, clean and in good condition. A sound copy. Sir Henry Norman (1858-1939), journalist and politician, travelled widely. Norman was initially a journalist by profession and is said to have investigated the Dreyfuss Affair. He was junior minister under Asquith and contributed to the development of Marconi's wireless telegraphy. Publications were on politics, international affairs and travel. Of his travel writing, he wrote on Japan, the Far East as well as the present volume. This book is of especial interest for the author's many photographs. Kerner 523.
