Appendices embrace omissions and varieties with a list of recommended reading in 'spoken' French. Used; Very Good Pioneering work by Passy aided by Hermann Michaelis. Unorthodox in that the phonetic transcription comes first followed by the orthographic form. This arrangement was adopted by Daniel Jones with Michaelis in their 1913 work "A Phonetic Dictionary of the English Language". Hardback.
