The book is his story of his time on the road, his return to wartime Warsaw and subsequent escape to America. Mushroom-coloured cloth-covered boards, red and grey dust jacket, 249 pages. Condition: Dust jacket (price-clipped) badly torn, with considerable loss, and edge-rolled; now in protective wrapper. Boards bumped, a little soiling to the top edges and top of spine, but internally clean and unmarked; the wartime economy paper has aged well. Good.
