Described on the title page as "compiled, with the cooperation and assistance of the Electrical Engineer, Electrical Review and Electrical Times, by the Institution of Electrical Engineers, London, on the Occasion of the Visit of Kindred Institutions from Abroad, June and July, 1906". With a note on the work and development of the Institution of Electrical Engineers. Folding map opposite title page, showing electric railways open or in course of construction and electric tramways (ditto). Chapter headings include, among others, Municipal Electricity Supply Works, Electricity Supply Companies and Electrical Manufacturing Works. Dark green cloth-covered boards, gilt titles to front board and spine, 228 pages, illustrations from photographs. Condition: Binding firm, but all in all a rather knocked about copy. Spine strip splitting away from boards for the top inch or so of one joint; boards frayed, rubbed and worn. There is some scuffing, bumping and creasing to the last dozen or so pages. Good.
