Good firm copy, no repairs to cloth binding which shows average wear to extremities. Cloth and gilt bright with no soiling, stains or excessive staining. Some owner's marks, creases and edge-tears to contents, as expected for a travel guide. A previous owner has added an attractive colour sketch of a Greek customs official in uniform on the rear endpaper, in attractive ink and pastel. The original large folding map of Greece is missing from the rear pocket, as is often the case. But a Hachette map of Athens is present in the pocket. Good.
