Description: John Fairbairn, 1823. Hardcover. Third Edition, improved. viii +370p; with many engraved views on a number of plates. The title page calls for 46 plates and a plan.There are 45 present and no plan which seems to be the norm. A very fresh guide to the capital. The book is bound in full black leather with gilt titling on the front board and the spine. Internally there is evidence of spine repair with gutter exposed between pages 2 & 3. and three early pages have been taped, somewhat crudely. The boards are rubbed at the corners and edges and there is a neat owners name on the prelims. See scans . Good
