This copy has some foxing to the endpapers front and rear and to the pastedowns front and rear. This bright yellow boards are still as bright yellow as they were the day the book was printed. There is some faint signs of foxing in the gutter along the front board. This copy also has a nudge to the heel and top of the spine area. The 2.50 priced jacket has some light edge wear, with just a trace of soil to the front side combined with some foxing to the reverse. The jacket might be just a bit sun darkened but with the color scheme of the jacket is is really hard to tell. This seems to be a review copy with a type written letter from Viking that points out that out the transposition of pages 165 and 256 along with the explanation that the publication date of March 15th is impossible to postpone. The transposition of pages 165 and 256 has been corrected in this edition, marking it a second state. THIS COPY IS IN MY POSSESSION AND NORMALLY SHIPS NEXT DAY. Fine/Near Fine.
