This title was originally published by George Lucas as a PBO in 1976. This copy, a Book Club edition is the first hard cover release of this title. This edition was published a year before the movie was released and a year after the PBO. The movie opened on May 25, 1977. In blue colored paper covered boards, coded Z5 the gutter of page 183. The non-laminated jacket has some lightish rubbing wear, some light edge wear, several very short closed tears. Front jacket panel features art work from the movie by John Berkey. The rear panel features an ad for the movie much like you would see on the outside of the theater and/or opening credits for the movie. Bound into the book between pages 42 and 43 and 138 and 139 are 16 pages of color stills from the movie. A square solid tight clean very carefully read copy. While not a perfect copy it is very much gift quality for a 41 year old book. Someone must need this for their Star Wars collection. THIS COPY IS IN MY POSSESSION AND NORMALLY SHIPS NEXT DAY. This copy includes a Ken Films Super 8 film titles Star Wars # F48 featuring selected scenes from the movie still in original manufacturer's shrink wrap. The box features Han and Chewie. Fine/Near Fine.
