Description: Portland, ME, Nelson Co., nd (ca 1920). G PB. Malden was incorporated as a town on May 11, 1649. The name was derived from Maldon, the English province from which came. Joseph Hill and John Wayne, who were the honored founders. The first city government was inasugurated in 1882 with H. S. Converse elected Mayor. Many of Boston's most successful merchants reside here. Brown binding, edge wear, frist page has tanniing to edges.
