Title: First Issue of The Olnette 1941 (Toledo, Ohio?).
Description: Ross Township, Ohio, Olney High Schoolo, (1941). VG. The first school in Ross Township was a log building erected in the spring of 1846 on the location of the Libbey-Owens-Ford. Glass factory. In 1854 another school was erected north of the Present Woodville Road on what is now the present Hanley Road. The school served the educational needs of the community until 1876 when a brick building was erected. Olney School was named in honor of Professor Edward Olney who was principal of the Ferrysburg School from 1847-1852, and later Professor of Mathematics in the University of Michigan and was author of Olney's Mathematical Series. In 1939 the present building was used for school activities. Photo of Superintendent Loudenslager signed. Embossed cover showing trees overlooking mountains.
