In 2007 he tried to start it. again and he remembered the opening section - "The Airplane and the Woodchuck" well enough to re-create it almost exactly. He was overwhelmed by the technical problems the story presented, especially the ecological and meteorological consequences of the Dome and it deterred King for a while so he went on to something else. With the help of friends that problem was solved for him. From the Author's Note. DJ has some light wear and a nick at the top corner near the spine.
