Massachusetts, and spent her wsummers in Maine. For over a decade a successful career on Broadway and in Hollywood but she never failed to return Maine. Map of Weskeag River on endpapers, color illustration of Ship Live Yankee, Eben Thorndike, master rounding Cape Horn, 1854. After the Battle of Hastings, 15 of William's soldiers were the only ones to receive land grants from him and there were no Thorndikes among them so chances are the Thorndykes who settled in England prior to 1066 were Anglo-Saxon by birth, probably from Germany or one of the Low Countries.
