Title: Journal of Educational Psychology: March, 1933, Vol. XXIV, no. 3.
Description: Baltimore, MD, Warwick & York, Inc., (1933). VG. Articles include, "Sex Differences in Mental Growth and Decline", by H. S. Conrad, R. E. Jones, and R. R. Haiao. The present data is based on data from the Army Alpha intelligence examination, administered to 581 males and 607 females in a representative group, between the ages of ten and sixty. Prior work has shown that for the total sample, the developmental curve is linear to about 16 years, with a negative acceleration beyond 16 to a peak between the agse of 18 and 21. A decline follows, which is much more gradual than the rise during adolescence, but which by the age of 55 involves a recession to the 14-yr level. Other articles include: The Collecting Interests of Town Children and Country Children by Paul A. Witty and Harvey C. Lehman; Distributions of Scores Based on Correct Guessing for True-False Tests of Various Lengths by William C. F. Krueger; Teaching Objectives in Educational Psychology by Robert A. Davis; A Simplified Statement of the Two-Factor Theory by W. Line and H. B. Redman; The Heinis Personal Constant as a Substitute for the IQ by Psyche Cattell, Harvard University; and The Difficulty of a Multiple Choice Test Item by Paul Horst; and Disagreement with E. A. Lincoln's article "The Unreliability of Reliability Coefficients". Booklet is well bound with some underlining.
