Contains transcript from the. shooting of the film "World of Light: a portrait of May Sarton" where for a four-day session in June 1979 Sarton answered questions about her life and work and read from her poetry for the makers of the film. Also included are poems and some comments not used in the film as a record of Sarton's gifts as a poet and dramatic reader. Sarton was afraid she had given away too much in the film, but in her book "Recovering: a Journal" she wrote that one does not lose one's soul for giving it away." Sarton has signed the book on the front cover. Cover faded at edges with some soil and tanning.
