Description: Brattleboro, VT, Stephen Daye Press, (1935). VG. Lain in newspaper artcle from 10/1/1945 Boston Post showing the covered bridge at Franklin, NH, collapsed into the Merrimack. River. It was abandoned after the 1936 flood but previously had carried passengers and freight cars of the Franklin Tilton RR for nearly 50 years. Also laid in sepia-toned article (may be from Sunday magazine) not dated titled "Lyndon Bridges Won't Fall Down" with photos of the Schoolhouse Bridge at Lyndon Corner, Chamberlain Bridge over the S. Wheelock Branch, near the sawmill in Lyndon Corner Village, and Lyndon's long bridge which occupies the site of the original crossing between Lyndonville & Lyndon Center in the early 19th century. Tan tweed type binding, brown lettering.
