Description: London: J Alfred Novello, no date [c. 1850]. Complete in 16 volumes bound in three, no edition stated. The three books are 8vo (20cm by 27cm), are bound in half burgundy morocco with marbled boards, and have about 300-400 pages each. The bindings are somewhat rubbed and scuffed, but intact, and there is scattered foxing of the contents. Overall, this set is in good condition. Undated, but presumably pre-1861, which is when the firm changed its name to Novello & co.
