A collection of four papers on the Gloucestershire town of Tewkesbury, bound together in one volume. The first paper (iv, 16pp) covers the town of Tewkesbury, past and present. The second section (iv, 88pp) covers Tewkesbury Abbey. The third section (xii, 96pp) covers the old houses of Tewkesbury (with a section on Holme Castle), and interesting places near Tewkesbury. The fourth section (iv, 56pp) covers the Battlle of Tewkesbury. The book is bound in the publisher's red cloth with gilt titling to the spine. Boards a little rubbed, endpapers lightly browned, short ownership inscription. Overall, this copy is in good to very good condition. We have handled several copies of this book, but none have been dated. COPAC suggests a publication date of 1895 for this second edition. The difference between the first and second editions is that the third and fourth papers have been expanded in the second edition.
