An odd volume (second series, volume 4) of the memoires of Dumas. 12mo (17cm x 11cm), 286pp. Amateur binding of marbled boards, black leather backstrip. This copy was formerly in the library of the Athaeneum Club in London, with occasional stamps, and the first two leaves are detached from the binding. Only a fair copy overall, but the contents are clean and tightly bound, and this is suitable as a binding, reading, working or reference copy of a scarce book. Dumas published numerous volumes of memoirs - at least 15 volumes in the first series and 8 in the second series, but all are exceptionally rare today. Text in French.
