Description: London: printed for John Harris, nd [c. 1822]. No edition stated (hardback). 12mo, 24pp. 6 hand colour illustrations on three plates (lacks one page of plates). Recently rebound in green cloth, gilt titling to the front board, with the original printed front wrapper bound in. The contents are in poor condition - thumbed and dusty, and the front wrapper lacks a portion from the lower corner. Bound in at the back of the book are ten unrelated hand-coloured plates, taken from another childrens book of approximately the same era, apparently entitled "John's Travels". A rare childrens book, matching a copy in the British Library Public Catalogue, which is where our estimated date of 1822 comes from.
