Description: Paris: chez P Dumenil, 1844 (1845). No edition stated (hardback). 4to (34cm x 26cm), half-title, title, 9 maps with outline hand-colouring. Original printed white boards, rebacked with a new green calf spine. Boards rubbed and lightly stained, some light spotting and marking of the maps. Overall, this copy is in good condition. There appears to be a map missing - the maps are numbered I-IX, but the title page refers to "10 maps". Map I is Roman Britain, II is Britain after the invasion of the Saxons, III is Anglo-Saxon, IV is Anglo-Saxon after the Danes, V is Britain in 900, VI is Britain in 1100, VII is 1100-1280, VIII is 1281-1400, and IX is 1600-1603.
