First edition, complete in two volumes (hardbacks). 4to, title, xxvi, [x], xxxiv, [xxiv], 252pp; viii, [vi], 125pp, ccxiv. 56 plates and text illustrations (correct as per list), including two colour plates. Quarter red morocco, green cloth boards, gilt titling to the spines. Bindings heavily rubbed, chafing to the heads and feet of the spines, corners of boards worn, some foxing of the plates else the contents are very good. Overall, this set is in good condition.
