Description: London: M A Nattali, 1836. New edition, complete in 5 quarto volumes (29cm by 23cm), containing accounts of 14 cathedrals. The bindings are tatty (all boards detached, one board missing, backstrips missing), and there is some chafing to the edges of the preliminary pages of each volume, but the text blocks remain tightly bound and the contents are generally clean, making this suitable as a reading, working or binding set. This set was formerly in a reference library, but the only evidence of this is bookplates to the front pastedowns and a stamp to the copyright page of volume 1.
