A review copy, this particular example served as the working copy for Henry Mount's 'Daily Telegraph' review of October 23 2005, with a note to that effect boldly inked to the front free endpaper, two pages of his variously coloured inked notes to a blank preliminary leaf and around the frontis portrait, and with further marginal notes and ticks throughout, plus some place-marker creases to the corner tips, and a lengthy vertical crease to one text leaf. A touch of light toning to the leaf margins. A good copy in very slightly marked dust wrapper, with a little creasing to the spine panel ends. An interesting copy of the twelfth and final volume of Lees-Milne's celebrated diaries (Mount was enthusiastic in his praise, calling it "Unique . a 300-page gossip column, studded with apercus worthy of a great novel").
