Pearson [of Cleveland, Ohio]; Laid in, is a hand-addressed mailing label with "canceled" English stamps dated 1924 affixed; Mr. Pearson was a member of the Rowfant Club, a bibliophilic society, and it was customary for members to send authors their books and request a signature and inscription, which Mr. Phillpotts has done; Pearson was president of the Rowfant Club during World War II; Textblock immaculate and tight. Light shelf wear to the printed paper-covered binding with small chip and light wear to head of spine, slightly convex covers. In a very clean dust jacket, with a small chip at the head of spine, light chipping at corners and a few shallow edge tears, light edge wear. 55p. Very Good+/Very Good (in mylar). Signed and Inscribed By Author.
