Title: Buchanan Family Records : James Buchanan and His Descendants
Description: Private / Townshend, Taylor and Snashall, Printers, Capetown. 1923, First Edition. Hardcover, with dust jacket. 261 pages (complete). This James Buchanan should not be confused with the American President of the same name. Rather, he was of considerable more use to history and humanity by being the first teacher and founder of Infant Schools. He ended up in Rondebosch in the Cape Colony, where he too founded an Infant School. The green boards have wear about the edges, corners and seams. They have scuffing, marks from handling and shelving and storage. They are benign, assured, steady, sound. Within, the very early and very late pages have some age-related marks. The contents though, are very clean and clear, creamy and healthy, assured and certain, benign and convivial. fk. Near Fine/No Jacket.
