Title: Service Afloat and Ashore During the Mexican War
Description: Wm H Moore & Co. Publishers, Cincinatti. 1851, First Edition. Hardcover, with dust jacket. 480 pages (complete). An amiably aging copy. Six plates, one folded map. The brown boards and spine have blind-stamped decoration. The spine has stamped gilt titling and decoration. The boards are worn about all edges, corners, seams, both faces. They are dulled, marked, scuffed. The spine has wear to the head and foot. The boards and spine are steady and sound. The contents display the passing of the years throughout. They have smears, flurries, flecks of foxing throughout. The folded map has some misfolding, some wear. Despite these distractions the contents are tight, certain, very confident, clear, very assured, defiant of the years, still keen. fk. Good/No Jacket.
