Contemp. full calf with raised bands & red leather title label on spine. (Top of spine sl. dam., joints split, but holding; endp. browned in edges; few pages sl. waterst.). Good. ¶ Provenance: old bookplate of "The Hon'ble Edward Monckton, Sumerford Hall County of Stafford" on pastedown, with his signature on title; also old signature of Timothy Remington on title. Loosely inserted an engraved portrait of Sir Edward Coke (name not stated on the picture, but described by the British Museum, object No. 1891,0414.176) made by John Payne and dated 1629, with on the rear side in an old hand: "This booke was given by Mr Hugh Procter to Geoge Cam", signed Harvey Staunton.
