There is a folding plate showing the lakes reached by the Gatineau Valley Railway, including accommodations. Despite the book’s encompassing title, the Companion's text concentrates on and describes the numerous lakes and rivers in the province of interest to fisher folks; available fishing opportunities, with comments on the rivers Cascapedia, Restigouche, St. John, Moisie, and others, occasionally including the number and size of Atlantic salmon and trout caught; privately leased and public sections of each river (Cascapedia leased at $6,125 per year). The book is bound in its original blue wrappers with red and black titles. Very good with light edge wear. A scarce sportsman's guide.
