Francis's book was the most complete book on angling in its day - and its day extended well into the twentieth century. Includes chapters on Bottom Fishing - Mid-Water Fishing - Artificial Fly Fishing - Lake Fishing - The Salmon - Salmon Flies - Fly Dressing - Conclusion. The book is bound in a fine binding of red morocco spine and corners with gilt titles and decorations with raised bands and red boards. Red marbled end papers. This is a bright and handsome very good book.
