Description: Cincinnati, Ohio. The Whitefish Press. 2011. Publisher’s Proof. Book number 1 of 10 copies published. Signed by Timothy P. O’Brien on the limitation notice. Quarto (11 x 8). 192 pp. including appendices, index. Photo frontispiece showing Frank M. O’Brien. Foreword written by Micheal Farrior. Color plus black and white photos showing Tycoon Tackle, the men and women who fished with it, and the big fish caught with it. Tycoon rods were used by many of the world’s big game fishing early pioneers - Ernest Hemingway, S. Kip Farrington, Erl Roman, Francesca LaMonte and John Rybovich. Arnold Gingrich once wrote of his big game fishing excursions with Hemingway, saying horsing in a big Marlin was the equivalent of lifting a barn door from ocean’s depths. Maybe Tycoon rods made the task a bit easier. The book is bound in green cloth with gilt titles, Pictorial dust jacket. A nice book. Fine in a fine jacket. Signed by Author.
