The book is a masterful treatment of the origins of sporting literature in England and France; the Dame, Walton & Cotton, The Dry Fly, Evolution of the Trout Fly, and the Literature of Fly Fishing. Trout and its history of fishing from the U.K. point of view. An important book. The book is bound in its original green cloth with gilt tiles and front cover decoration.
