The mounted feather is inside a folding card with same limitation number. There’s also a colored photo showing a few birds from Chip’s flock. Edited and Introduction by William A. Harms. Captivating essays and stories together with black and white photos throughout the book chronicling "Chip" Stauffer and his circle of friends and fly fishing personalities, including James E. Leisenring, Preston Jennings, Herman Christian, Roy Steenrod, George Parker Holden, Vern Hidy, Dick Clark, Dana Lamb, Ed Hewitt, John Atherton, Sparse Grey Hackle, Art Flick, Keith Fulsher, Charles De Feo, Wes Drain, and others. Reproduced in its entirety is the 1930-1935 hand written Fishing Album compiled by Chip and it includes photos of him and his wife, Marjorie, and their companions. The book is a splendid account of fly fishing in the sport’s halcyon days, beginning in the 1920s through the 1970s. The author, David Atwood, is a gifted writer; he was a friend of Chip’s and knew him for many years; the book is a homage to a talented, thoughtful, kind, skilled fly fisherman. You will enjoy this book. The book is bound in full burgundy buckram with gilt titles on the spine and front cover. Matching burgundy cloth slip case. The book is fine in a fine slip case.
