Walter Johnson was a gifted steelhead fly fisherman who enjoyed great success fishing the North Fork of the Stillaguamish River and Deer Creek in Washington state, and he is credited with the development of many effective fly patterns for the region. He was also elected President of the Washington Fly Fishing Club. This is a nice example of the best work on Western trout and salmon fly fishing and its fisheries by Roderick Haig-Brown, who is without contradiction the best writer on the subject. A unique set. The two volumes are clean, bright, and in fine condition in a beautiful, custom slip case bound in red morocco with the title in gilt on the side panel. Signed by Author.
