Book number 133 of 1250 copies published. Signed by Roderick Haig-Brown on the limitation page. The book includes a complete biophysical description of the Province to include its basic resources, fisheries (sport and commercial), forest resources, agriculture, energy, mining, recreation, and people. The work was produced by the British Columbia Natural Resources Conference. Color photos, text drawings, and the incomparable color drawings of sport fish by Tommy Brayshaw. There is a large 74 x 74 centimeter folding colored map of the Province in a pocket on the back paste down. When The Living Land was published, Haig-Brown took royalties on the first 975 copies sold and then signed over royalties on the remaining copies to The B. C. Natural Resources Conference. The book is bound in gray and tan cloth with gilt titles and decorations on the front cover and spine. Clear plastic dust jacket. Gray and beige slip case with a gilt circular map of North America within a gold compass. Silk ribbon marker. A nice book. Fine in a fine dust jacket and fine slip case. Signed by Author.
