Title: Fisherman's Winter.
Description: First Edition. New York. William Morrow & Company. 1954. First Edition. Octavo (8 x 5). 288 pp. Illustrated by Louis Darling. The book is Haig-Brown's pioneering and intensely descriptive account of fly-fishing for trout in Chile and Argentina during the southern summer of December 1951 through March 1952. Haig-Brown enjoyed fine fishing in both countries. Harold Ober Associates, Haig-Brown’s literary agent, reported 3,135 copies of the book sold through 1966, when Fisherman’s Winter went out of print. A really nice book. The book is bound in blue decorated cloth with black titles. Pictorial dust jacket. The book is fine in a fine dust jacket.
