The author printed 100 copies of the 1973 first edition and distributed them to friends who fished with him over the years. There are two maps showing the rivers, streams, and lakes Mr. Sherwood fished, one of the United Kingdom, the other of South America. Donald Sherwood fly fished for trout in Chile and Argentina, Atlantic salmon in Eastern Canada, Scotland, Norway, and Ireland. The entries are day-by-day accounts revealing the number of fish caught, stream and weather conditions, and incidental matters. The book is bound in light greenish wrappers with black titles. It is in fine condition. The second volume: Fishing Years. Baltimore, Maryland. Privately published by Donald H. Sherwood. 1982. Octavo (8 1/2 x 6). [4], 1-102 pp. The author published 500 copies of this edition. The contents are identical to the 1973 edition with added text vignettes. The book is bound in turquoise cloth with gilt titles on the spine and front cover. Both books in fine condition. This is an opportunity to acquire both editions of this regionally important book.
