The three books are Van's experiences fly fishing on Vancouver Island during its hey day, and he speaks to a time and place that has now disappeared, the great runs of steelhead and salmon are now of the past, as is Van, who passed away in 2010. There is a typed letter signed written by Van Egan, addressed to me, and it’s laid-in Rivers on My Mind. The books are bound in green and dark blue cloth with gilt titles. Pictorial dust jackets. A beautiful set. In a padded cloth slip case designed and made by Gwen Kushner of Campbell River, commissioned by Van to house the three volume set. All books fine in a fine slip case.
