Collects all of the author's shorter-than-novel-length stories (56 in total) from 1900 to 1923, linking them in pairs. From the author's Foreword. John Galsworthy is best-known for his Forsyte Saga series of novels. Small tear at top edge of contents page - archivally taped, light to moderate edge wear, very small tear at top of hinges and at top of spine, slight wrinkling at top/bottom of spine, light rubbing to leather icluding a 1 1/2' light scuff on front board, light fading to spine colour and slight fading to top half of front board leather, light browning to fore-edge and bottom of text block. Book is protected in a stiff mylar sleeve. Good.
