Title: Royal Auction Bridge with Nullos.
Description: New York, Frederick A. Stokes. 1914, Second Printing. Hard Cover with dust jacket. 377 pp, 7 1/4" H. Red cloth with gilt lettering on spine, gilt lettering/banding on front board. "This is a new edition of Foster's recognized handbook, brought completely up-to-date, and incuding a full section on the 'Nullo' count, its rules and tactics." "Foster's Manual of Royal Auction explains the game instead of giving hard and fast directions which will surely mislead inexperienced players. Foster, by working out sample hands, shows how certain combinations of play result and trains the reader to make the most of his hand under any circumstances. After a perusal of this book one will have an understanding of the game which will give him superiority over players who stick to rules learned by rote." Very light browning to endpapers, small stamp from bookstore on front free endpaper, a few tiny stains on edges of text block, very light wrinkling at top/bottom of spine, minor edge wear, faint water marks at bottom of rear board. Dust jacket has light to moderate browning - mainly on rear panel and on spine, 1 1/2" piece missing at top of spine, very small chips at top/bottom of flap-folds and bottom of hinges, a few tiny light stains and light scuff mark on front panel, now protected in a mylar sleeve. Good+/Fair.
